I had created a Questionnaire so that i know the features that majority of people would like to see in my final magazine i asked a random sample of 30. I had done 7 closed questions and 3 open questions so I could get quick standard answers along with a different range of answers. The Questions are as follows:

Closed Questions

Question 1

This question is helpful for me to know how often my audience would like the magazine to be produced, as the price of my magazine is ranged around £2 and the fact I want freebees to be given, a fortnightly magazine corresponds well.

Question 2

The majority age group who answered this questionnaire was between 14-19, this is good as I stated in my “planning” that’s my magazine will be mainly aimed towards the younger generation. It also enables me to figure out the types of things that should go into the magazine as I know it can influence people who read it.

This question helps me to understand whether my audience would like any other special features to be with the magazine for them to want to buy it, it also helps me disguise
The price of my magazine as I know giving freebees away in the magazine the production would cost more therefore it is obvious that my magazine would cost more than £1.

This question helps me to understand if my audience want to know about artist lifestyle, as my magazine is music based having this feature in my magazine will make it more interesting which is why stated this question to see firstly if it goes well with my audience and to see if it is a good idea.

This question is beneficial as it helps me distinguish the most attractive thing my audience likes in a music magazine and I can make sure I meet my audiences expectations. Along with ensuring I produce the most favourite attractions in the magazine so that they wish to buy it.

The majority of people stated that they would pay £1.50 however through looking at my questionnaire results and planning of my magazine I have decided to range the price around £2. As I would like to produce this magazine every fortnight and give freebees to the readers so they are enthusiastic to want to buy the magazine all the time. I believe £2.10 is a good selling price as it is in the price range of the feedback received from the questionnaire, and would also help in ensuring I can produce the magazine to high quality.

The majority of people who had answered this questionnaire were female. This could signify that women have more of an interest in magazines than men.
This corresponds with my “planning of a music magazine”. As my target audience is for both male and female and from my results I had feedback from both genders so I know that both genders would be interested in it, females being the majority.

What type of music genre do you like?

As this was an open question I received a lot of different kind of answers the majority of answers were indie, rock and heavy metal. However many people stated that they liked R&B, Hip Hop, trance and club music. Based on my results and own personal interest in music I am going to base my magazine on indie, rock and heavy metal this was the majority people had stated they like and I also have an interest in these genres of music. This question also relates to style genre I stated in my planning of my magazine.

Who is your favourite band?

For this question I got a wide range of answers, as the majority of people stated they liked indie, rock, and heavy metal. The majority of people who had answered the questionnaire stated that there favourite artist was Hayley Williams, Ollie Sykes and pink, these artist corresponds well with the genre of my magazine which is indie, rock and heavy metal. Other artist that’s people had stated was rhianna, Justin Timberlake, Leona lewis.
